Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/11 publication - Mixtures for consumers

amending the Regulation (EU) no. 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and the Council about the classification, labeling and packaging of substances and mixtures, with regard to harmonized information on the emergency health response

The European Commission has published the Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/11, amending the Regulation (EU) 1272/2008 (CLP). The date of application concerning the European harmonised notification and the UFI code marking for the mixtures intended for consumers was finally postponed.

As mentioned in our previous newsletter the first deadline for fulfilling the obligations under Annex VIII of the CLP Regulation is moved from 1 January 2020 to 1 January 2021. After this date, importers and users who will place on the market mixtures intended for consumers, classified as dangerous for health and for chemical-physical hazards, shall affix the UFI code on the label and notify into the European portal.
