We inform that the Italian Institute of Health (ISS) in a press release, stated to have signed an agreement with the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) on the 24th June 2018, for a high quality research to be promoted and carried out following the “One Health” approach (concept of health to be extended to animals and environment, in addition to humans). We reaffirm BIO BASIC EUROPE commitment to the application and developing of in vitro methods, alternative to animal testing. At BIO BASIC LAB, in the research centre “Parco Tecnico Scientifico” of Pavia, we perform both regulated and internal safety and efficacy evaluations on cosmetic products, medical devices, and food supplements. In order to cancel the impact on animals exploited for scientific and commercial purposes, when it is possible we prefer to perform in vitro tests on reconstructed human epitheliums, whose tissue is more complex than common cell lines.
