Bio Basic Europe participates in the 18th National Congress by the Italian Society of Toxicology taking place in April, from 10th to 13th 2018 in Bologna (Italy). The main topics – Innovation, Safety, Sustainability in the Age 4.0 – are approached by exponents of the academic and industrial world and representatives of the regulatory bodies. On April 11th at 5 p.m., Bio Basic Europe hosts a mini symposium on “Innovative tests for the in vitro microbiological and safety evaluation of cosmetic products”. Dr. Umberto Pianca (Managing Director and Chairman of the Technical and Scientific Committee of Bio Basic Europe) introduces the event, whereas Dr. Claudio Angelinetta (Technical Director of Bio Basic Europe) moderates it. During the mini symposium, the following researches are presented: Dr. Riccardo Vicini (Head of Vitro Laboratory at Bio Basic Europe): An innovative approach to safety evaluation of cosmetic products through a combination of in vitro and in vivo methods; Dr.ssa Alice Buzzella (Vitro Laboratory at Bio Basic Europe /University of Pavia): Development of an alternative in vitro method to evaluate skin sensitisation; Dr.ssa Veronica Cattaneo (University of Pavia): Developments of new preservative systems and evaluation of their efficacy in accordance with UNI EN ISO 11930:2012.
