CLINICAL MONITORING OF SAFETY AND EFFICACY OF ORGANIC COTTON MEDICAL DEVICE FOR LIGHT INCONTINENCE TO PREVENT SKIN IRRITATION Journal of Applied Cosmetology, Vol. 39 iss. 1 (January-June, 2021)
Bio Basic Europe conducted an experimental study for a client company to evaluate the safety and efficacy of incontinence pads, made of breathable materials and natural ingredients, in the prevention of skin irritation. The results has been published in the Journal of Applied Cosmetology.
Clinical studies and in vitro safety efficacy tests were performed on bladder leakage control pads. It was tested their ability in preventing the onset of skin irritation side effects. Subjective self-assessment parameters were also considered and it was carried out a comparative analysis.
The device has proved to improve the life quality of people with mild incontinence, significantly reducing erythema and oedema of the skin and
the vaginal mucous, caused by the prolonged use of non-cotton medical device.
